December can be very dry and dusty and many of us may not be taking care of our skin the way we should. There are little sacrifices we should be willing to make to keep the skin and hair healthy this Harmattan.

Water is good for your skin. You can never drink too much water. Make sure you stay hydrated during this season. Avoid intake of caffeine and focus more on natural fruit juices and beverages.
Use more of oil on your skin this season to retain moisture. After taking a shower, don’t dry your skin completely apply oil while your body is still damp. It will help retain the moisture more. Have a hand cream you can apply during the day and at night before going to bed. Don’t forget to moisturize your feet also.
Face cleansers and toners
Cleansers and toners with alcohol or astringents can be harsh go for cleansers and toners with neutral PH of 5.5 .Never forget to moisture your face after cleansing.
Cigarette smoke contains carbon monoxide, which displaces the oxygen in your skin, and nicotine, which reduces blood flow, leaving skin dry and discolored. Smoking during this time is a bad idea. Try to avoid it as much as you can if you do.
The way you dress this season is important. Avoid revealing clothes as much as you can. Wear more of covered shoes instead of sandals to avoid dust and keep your leg from breaking.
