At just 28, writer, filmmaker and actress, Sonia Irabor has built up quite the portfolio.
She had an early start in the publishing industry, becoming a published writer and a magazine columnist for Nigeria’s number one women’s magazine, Genevieve, when she was only thirteen. Her column at the time, TeenZone, which she developed and pitched to her Editor-in-Chief mother, Betty Irabor, was one of the most popular columns in the magazine. Sonia has worked as a freelance and ghost -writer for several notable publications, including Cosmopolitan, Closer and the Huffington Post.
As an actress, Sonia has appeared in a number of classical plays in London including her critically-acclaimed turn as Helen of Troy in Trojan Women.

After seven years as the Assistant Editor of Genevieve, she was named as Editor-in-Chief in 2017, taking over from her mother, famed publisher, Betty Irabor, a role she has consistently used to inspire and engage young women to attain the highest level of their aspirations, regardless of their circumstances. In 2018, Sonia was listed among Forbes 30 under 30 creatives making waves across different industries.
