Growing up, we were never told how hard adulthood was. We all just wanted to grow up and be independent of everyone that was older than us and was trying to control us. We all just wanted to start living the life, which is not a bad thing if you have your whole life planned out for you. Sometimes, that life plan doesn’t work out the way we want it to and we hit rock bottom. You want to give up so bad at this point when you think the universe is against you and you can’t seem to understand why everyone else has their life working out for them and your case is different.
The thing about giving up is you can go to any length to make yourself feel better without thinking that you have people that care about you and love you. You don’t want to talk to anyone about the way you feel for fear of being judged. So you bottle up all your pain and decide the best way to relieve yourself is to kill yourself. Which is not the best way out of your situation but you just want it all to end.
If you’re feeling down and just feel like you want it all to end here’s 10 reasons why you should not take your life.
1.You are loved (John 3:16)
As much as you feel like the whole world is against you, God loves you and that is why he gave his son to die for you in the first place. No matter how much you try to stay away from family and friends, they still love you too. Hurting yourself would only cause them pain too.
2. You have a purpose (Jeremiah 29:11)
Always remember that God’s plans for you are not to harm you but to prosper you. every situation passes away and whatever you are going through shall pass away too.
3. You will be guided (Psalm 32:8)
Turn to the Lord for guidance because he has said he will teach you and guide you in the way you should go.
4.You are not alone (Deuteronomy 31:6)
God will never leave nor forsake you. So you have to be strong knowing that he is always with you no matter what.
5. He will take away your worries (1 Peter 5:7)
God will take away your worries if you let him in. Holding back is never the answer.
6. He will carry your burdens and comfort you (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Psalm 55:22)
God is the father of compassion. When you need comforting, he is always there for you to carry your weight and give you strength.
7. He will forgive (Mark 11:25)
You need to forgive yourself, then the people around you so you can truly accept God’s forgiveness. Your situation is not your fault and as long as God is thee to forgive you, you have to believe that you have been forgiven.
8. He will give you hope (Romans 15:13)
When you have joy and peace of mind, you become hopeful that tomorrow will be better than today. God gives you that hope.
9. He will Deliver (Matthew 7:7)
Whatever you want, all you need to do is ask and you shall be given, ask God to deliver you from the situation you are in and he will.
10. He dwells in you ( 1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
You are the temple of God and he dwells in you. Whatever you do to your body you do to the temple of God so hang on and everything will be alright.
