Most of us take the bible for granted. See it as just a book you can read through and dump when you’re done. A book with amazing miracle stories and that’s all. Well you’re wrong. - Always do your best
Ecclesiastes9:10 teaches that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. If you have to work? You have to do it well. Work hard. No matter how little your job/business is, it is how hard you work that will determine whether or not you will grow. Always be good at what you do.
- Be honest
From Ecclesiastes 5:5 what you cannot do, do not say you can do. Take tailors for example they always give deadlines they won’t keep. They stress you out and end up losing you as a customer. Except they’re really good but how long will it continue? If you cannot meet a certain deadline, be honest about it. Honesty is the best policy. Lying to your clients may only cost you your credibility . In Deuteronomy 24:4 it teaches to be fair in all that you do. A good name, good work ethics uplift you and give you a record. Don’t cheat people Matthew 7:12.
- Know your seasons
In Ecclesiastes 3:1, we see that there are different seasons. Know your seasons. If your a fashion designer, you cannot design skimpy clothing in cold seasons and vice versa. Know when to make products for your clients, know your audience and target market and know what they want. Then be ready at all times.
- Don’t work alone
Two heads are better than one. Ecclesiastes 4:12 teaches that you cannot work alone. The Bible says the cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Work with people. Do your surveys, ask for opinions and watch your business grow.
- Being lazy and slow is bad for business
Laziness is not good for business. Don’t be lazy but avoid stress. Don’t over work yourself and don’t depend on your own strength. Next, don’t be slow. Be quick to seize opportunities that present themselves.
- Be wise
Get wisdom. Get understanding. Proverbs 4:7 You need to know your business, all the pros and cons. You cannot start selling coconut oil if you dint know how it is made, what it is made from. Its uses and benefits . how do you market the product to people. So be knowledgeable in your trade, know your competition and understand your audience.
- Don’t just talk, ACT!
Talk is cheap they say and actions speak louder than words. So do more of acting and less of talking. Proverbs 14:23. Then wait. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. One step at a time and you will make progress. There’s no need to rush so you don’t end up rushing into the making the wrong business decisions.
